Let’s be honest. These days, it’s easier to ‘like’ a stranger’s Instagram story than to have a proper conversation with the person sitting 50 centimetres away from you, eating moussaka.

The scenario is often like this:
We’re all at the table, but not quite. One person holds a fork while scrolling through TikTok with the other hand. Another pokes at their plate, lost in thought. A third decides to be sociable after all, but the attempt at conversation feels more like an interrogation:

— How was your day? — Fine. — Anything new? — Nothing. — Did you pay the electricity bill? — Yes.

If you’re at home with young children, the ‘intellectual’ conversations mainly revolve around: ‘Do you want some more?’, ‘I’m not eating this, I want a slice of bread!’ and ‘Watch out, your sleeve’s in your plate!’

We believe that food is just the occasion, and people are the meaning. We’re ready with brilliant ideas to liven up your time at the table, because laughter and stories you’ve never heard before can turn out to be the tastiest seasoning.

Now imagine the difference:
Instead of “How’s work?”, you ask your friends: “Which two songs do you think are on repeat in hell?”.
Or instead of asking your child “How was school?”, you surprise them with the question: “How would you describe Mum in one word?”.

Tired of the routine of mealtimes – cooking, serving, washing up – and wondering how to make the most of this time with our loved ones, we created Lafetki
These are the only napkins that help you tell stories and get even closer to the people you love. Just pull one out, read the question and get ready for some fun.
Because life is too short for boring evenings.

🌱 More than a product – a social project

Lafetki is a project by the Odd Minds Foundation.

The napkins are packaged by people with disabilities, to whom we provide:
  • real work
  • a stable income
  • a sense of belonging
  • opportunities for development

The Foundation works towards the social integration of disadvantaged children and young people.
With this project, we are creating a sustainable model – not one-off assistance, but real employment.

When you support Lafetki, you are choosing a product with meaning.

Lafetki are real. The people who pack them are real. Some of the images in this campaign, however, have been created using artificial intelligence — we used AI to visualise ideas for which we don’t yet have footage. We’ll say it straight, because that’s the spirit of Lafetki.

Lafetki - Launch Party

May 30, 2026, 19:30
